Wait… where am I? How have I ended up on this website???

Well, if you took a moment to read the bit at the top, you’d see that you’ve been lucky enough to land on the website of Tom Turner, professional voiceover artist and podcast host. I guess you might have been looking for an experienced, talented voiceover with a reassuring, light northern tone and great range?

Microphone and headphones

Huh, this Tom fella sounds OK actually.
I wonder who he’s worked with?

Good question. Well, over the past decade or so, I’ve worked with hundreds of brands. From Easyjet, Morrisons, ASDA and Smyth’s Toys to PlayStation, YouTube and Motorpoint to name a few. I’ve been the voice of TV ads, radio ads, on-hold, in-store messaging, corporate messaging and e-learning – I’ve done the lot.

If I wanted to get in touch with Tom Turner, voiceover artiste extraordinaire, how on earth would I go about that then?

Probably best to either give me a call on 07403 403 133 or drop me an email at tom@atomvoicing.co.uk. I’m available Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, via Cleanfeed/Source Connect Now, or self record if needed. Quick turn-arounds are usually no problem at all.

Actually, before I get in touch, I should probably have a listen to Tom’s voice, shouldn’t I?

Yes, I think you should. Often, people listening to my voice report immediate and overwhelming sensations of complete relaxation, accompanied by the feeling that all life’s mysteries have been unravelled right in front of their very eyes. Many say it’s life changing.

Is that bit about it being ‘lifechanging’ true?

No. Of course not. That would be ridiculous. But they do say my voice can be quite good for selling all kinds of stuff and getting messages across to people. It’s a nice, warm, funny, friendly, “normal”, bloke-ish and pretty darn flexible voice. So, whether you’re looking for a full-on, passionate read and a bit of hard-sell – or something a little closer to mic, soft and warm – I think there’s a pretty good chance I can deliver the goods for you and your brand.

That’s pretty nice. But does he do any sillier voices? I’ve heard that Tom Turner can be quite the little tinker sometimes.

Well, yeah. I’m glad you asked. Sometimes a normal voice just doesn’t cut it in a script does it? If you’re looking for a crazy/funny/silly/comedy/over-the-top voice, then you’ve come to the right place. Whether you already have in mind exactly what you want – or you need someone who can put a voice to a character you’ve created – I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to help you out. Decide for yourself, have a listen my character show-reel.

OK. Anything else I should know?

Yeah, I also host a brilliant, and as yet un-award winning, podcast called The Failing Writers Podcast. Apart from that I’d just want to say that whether it’s a big national job or an advert for Keith’s Fish and Chip van just behind Tesco’s car-park, I take real pride in delivering for every single one of my clients. Basically, I’m lovely to work with and do a bloody good job.

But you would say that wouldn’t you?

I thought you might say that. So, I took the liberty of asking some of the people I work with what they would say.

Tom has a cracking naturally upbeat voice and has a great vocal range as well. Tom is fantastic to work with in live studio sessions as he’s always punctual and professional along with being a good giggle. He always provides a quick turnaround of audio when requested! Would highly recommended!!!

Not only does he nail every script first time, but his experience means he knows EXACTLY what I’m looking for with each job. A competent, reliable MVO with a cracking studio sound. Highly recommended.
